My first camera was a Fisher Price 110 camera when I was a little kid. My first real camera was a Pentax K 1000. My first photography class was in the spring of 2000. Though, sometime around 2005 I slowly stopped taking photos. Always wanting to get back in it but never able to get a dSLR because of my own foolishness, I finally stopped hoping and setting goals that I could never get to. Then in 2010 after about 2 years of thinking about it I decided to go back to college but to be a Radiology Tech. Its a solid growing field and a good job, something I really need.
In 2012 I started taking photos again. Pictures of my nephew using my brother and sister-in-laws Nikon D5100. In late spring the ice cream man came up the road and they went outside to get an ice cream from him. It was my nephews first ice cream from the ice cream man and I wanted to get some pictures. While we were waiting for him to come back down the road I decided to take a few shots of a mushroom I seen growing in the yard.
Anytime I took pictures of my nephew, the photographer in me came out (especially at his first birthday party), but after the mushroom and the ice cream man, I knew there was no going back.
Now, in 2013, I also see something other than the photographer in me.
